We are pleased to announce our 8th season of Big Horse TLC Summer Camps at Good Reception Ranch.

Led by experienced therapeutic riding instructors and mental health professionals, our camps emphasize social-emotional learning.
We encourage trust and cooperation and model respectful relationships with all participants human and equine.
Small groups (usually 8 campers/week) allow us to support each participant to learn at his or her own speed.
Participants learn about horse behavior and practice working safely with their horses both on the ground and in the saddle.
There are one or two riding lessons each day. Campers learn to lead, brush, tack, and care for their horses.
We have lots of good old-fashioned fun on the farm--water games, scavenger hunts, art projects, and exploration.

Horse Buddy Camps are Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm. Regular camps are $440 for kids aged 4-12:

Early June Horse Buddy Camp, 6/5-6/9
Teen/Tween Riding & Leadership Camp, 6/12-6/16, ages 11-16, with Thursday night sleepover, $250 for those who will be volunteering this summer. (Regular price $475).
Late June Horse Buddy Camp, 6/26-6/30
Early July Horse Partners Camp, 7/10-7/14, ages 8-14, with emphasis on learning about natural horsemanship and animal communication
Late July Horse Buddy Camp, 7/24- 7/28
August Horse Buddy Camp, 8/7-8/11

2-Day Camps for kids aged 4-12, $190:

Mini Camp June 1 & 2, Th-F 9am-4pm
Mini Camp August 14 & 15, M-Tu 9-4
